Researchers at University of Helsinki have been studying dogs with compulsive behaviors to see if they can can learn anything new about the nature of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The study found similarities between the humans and dogs with compulsive behaviors (such as early onset, genetic risks, and the effect of sex hormones).
