It’s no secret we’re spending more and more time surfing the internet, but recent studies indicate this activity might hold dear consequences. Depression, it seems, is tied in with our use of the web. Young adults in particular seem to experience co-occurring depression and internet addiction. It also remains unclear to what degree excessive use of the internet affects our mental health.

Dr. Cheour has worked as a Professor of both Pediatrics and Psychology at the University of Miami where she received a 2002 Research Award, as a Professor of Neuropsychology at the University of Turko in Finland, and as the Head of the Developmental Brain Research Laboratory, Cognitive Brain Research Unit (CBRU), at the University of Helsinki.
