Although math anxiety in children is experienced by both male and female students, a new study suggests that math anxiety has a greater impact on the class performance and subsequent math grades of female students. The study, which was published in the journal Behavioral and Brain Functions, was conducted by Cambridge University and involved over 400 schools in the United Kingdom.
